Art as a Spiritual Practice: A Monthly Creative Workshop for Women

Virtual Guided Art Workshop with D. Lisa West

Looking for a creative workshop for women that feels inspiring, grounding, and genuinely supportive? Join us for Art as a Spiritual Practice, a monthly virtual art workshop led by D. Lisa West and hosted inside the Harvest Goal Collective community.

This gentle, welcoming online gathering is designed for women who want to reconnect with creativity as a form of mindfulness, self-expression, and personal reflection. You do not need to be an artist to join. In fact, this workshop is intentionally low-pressure, playful, and open-ended. Bring an art project you’re already working on, or simply arrive curious and let D. Lisa guide the experience using simple materials you already have at home.

D. Lisa is known for her calming presence and intuitive creative style, often working with handmade botanical inks and natural dyes crafted from plants and oak galls. Her approach invites participants to slow down, trust themselves, and explore creativity without perfectionism. Around here, doodling counts. Sketching your dreams counts. Making something imperfect with your hands absolutely counts.

This month’s theme is: What’s in Your Junk Drawer?

Participants are invited to choose three everyday objects from a junk drawer and create a simple still life drawing, sketch, or painting as a mindful meditation practice. You can also follow along using a reference image shared during the session. The focus is not on technical skill, but on observation, curiosity, and creative flow.

Expect thoughtful prompts, relaxing conversation, and the kind of supportive creative community that makes it easier to actually show up for yourself.

This virtual women’s creativity workshop is available for Harvest Core Members. Guest passes may occasionally be available by request. Come create with us.

About D. Lisa West

D. Lisa West is an artist, teacher, certified life coach, meditation guide, and speaker based in Ojai. After years of living boldly – working as a bellhop, limo driver, deckhand, and eventually a licensed boat skipper on the Washington coast – she found her footing as a realtor, then reinvented herself again by attending art school in her 50s. That convergence of creative training and lived experience led her to coaching, where she now guides women to move past fear and step into lives that are fully, unapologetically their own.

D. Lisa teaches creative classes, meditation courses, dream workshops, and offers 1-on-1 coaching. Her work sits at the intersection of art-making and soul work – designed for women who are ready to dig into the weird, beautiful stuff and come out more themselves.

About Harvest

Harvest is a community for women who are building something – businesses, careers, creative pursuits, and lives they love. We create intentional spaces for real connection, collaboration, and growth. Member-led offerings like this monthly gathering are at the heart of what Harvest is about: real women sharing real expertise, because we rise better together.

Want to go deeper? Harvest’s Core Membership offers an even more intimate experience — a close-knit circle of women who show up for each other weekly, share openly, and support one another through the real work of building a life and business you love. If you’re ready for that kind of community, we’d love to welcome you in.
